Gambling?

Tuesday, March 24th, 2009
youngunn00 asked:

any body got any advice on how to get this group who only plays a stableford to start playing other games? this is the only group on the course that plays for a little cash, I try to tell them that you really don’t make any money at this unless you are the only one that pulls points and that happens once in a blue moon. Just wondering if anyone else has had this situation and how to get people to try something new.

What happens if you are caught gambling at a casino, in Atlantic City, underage?

Saturday, March 7th, 2009
Kate <3 asked:

A friend and I were at a casino in AC gambling and we are both only 19. If you win under a certain amount you can cash in at a machine, and you don’t even have to talk to anyone to get your money…I was wondering though what would happen if we hit the jackpot and they found out we were underage? Would we get arrested? Someone said we would lose our liscense….? Does anyone know what would really happen?

If I were to win say, $100,000 playing online poker, I know the government wants to tax me on that. What happens if I don’t withdraw the money from my account? Do I pay taxes on it? What if I withraw just a little bit at a time over several years, do I have to report it?
I am in the U.S (Virginia), by the way.

How do I become a professional poker player?

Wednesday, February 11th, 2009
Black_19 asked:

If I wanted to become a ‘professional’ poker player, how would I start? Online tournaments? Local tournaments? Is there a place I can go to find more information? Or should I just take my 10k buy in to the main event and hope to make the final table (or at the very least, in the money). I guess I’m just trying to figure out if there is a place where I can gain more information about wanting to take poker seriously rather than just watching it on tv.

How is the construction business in Vegas?

Tuesday, October 14th, 2008
Harley Girl asked:

We are planning on moving to Vegas this summer. My husband is a licensed General Contractor here where we live. However, he doesn’t think he is going to get his contractors license in Nevada. At least not right away til he gets a feel for the industry there first. In the meantime, he would want to work for someone else. He is an excellent contractor with over 25+ years in the industry, but, he wants to get away from framing and go into more finish work, cabinet construction and install, remodeling, decks, patios, add ons, etc. Is there a market for these skills without a license. And what kind of pay could he realistically expect with these skills and years of experience?
Are there plenty of good paying jobs around? Or is the money mostly in being a licensed person in this trade. Right now he is earning only around $25K - $30K. He wants to make more money without the hassles of licensing. Is this possible?

What hotel in Vegas has the cheapest and best rates?

Saturday, September 20th, 2008
mayerj72 asked:

I do not want to spend a lot of money on a hotel when I stay in Vegas, but want it to be on the strip. I saw that the Circus Circus offers rooms for a little more than $20 a night during weekdays. Are there any other hotels you could recommend to me for a price range of up to $35 per night during weekdays?

I would want the room to be clean. Kind of had a bad experience with a room like that before.
