This is the best way - promise! Look at the link below to the monorail stops and pick on of those hotels to stay at. Don't stay too close to the convention center, it is super busy around that area and hard to get a cab. Also, it is better to stay on the strip so you can walk around on your free time.

I'd stay at the Hilton if I were you. The convention center is right next to it (think it might be technically the closest to it), you have the monorail available (there's a station at the hilton), and uhhh STAR TREK RIDES!!!! lol. idk, I'm a trekkie so it persuaded me the first time to stay at the hotel but i think regardless it's a good choice because of the above listed and: it's situated to the side of the strip but u can get there easy and its close to the aiport. decent places to eat and play slots and all that good stuff. not as good as some of the other hotels on the strip but that'll give u a reason to go to the strip after ur business is done. =)

have a good time!!!

The Hilton is very close to the convention center and is a decent hotel. I'm still kind of mad at them for removing the Star Trek Experience and Quark's Bar, but they have some nice rooms.

But honestly, the monorail has a stop at the Convention Center, so you could theoretically stay at any hotel on the strip, and still be only a few minutes away from the convention center. A monorail pass is $5 each way or (currently) $9 all day. If you would like to stay in the same hotel as a monorail station, here are the hotels that the monorail stops at...

MGM Grand- Specials $69-$89/night

Paris- specials $70-$100/night

Ballys- Specials $50- $80/night

Flamingo- Specials $65- $100/night

Harrahs- Specials $45/night

Las Vegas Hilton- Specials $79-$99/night

To view a map of the monorail, click here

Have Fun!!

The Las Vegas Hilton is not just "next to" the LVCC the LVH connects directly, you can walk inside from the LVH to the LVCC.

Las Vegas Hilton

We have stayed in either room #1943 or #1945 three years in a row now. This is not one of the upgrade rooms*, but we really like the view.

*It's a nice room, just not 5 star if that's what you're looking for.

The LV Monorail connects directly to the LV Hilton, so it is possible to stay at any of the hotels on the East side of the strip and have access to the LVCC without too much trouble.

Monorail info

If you don't mind riding the CAT(city bus) you could even stay at someplace like the Hard Rock Hotel and take the #108 Paradise bus, which stops in front of both the HR and LVCC. It's about 10 minutes by bus.

>If you do decide to stay at one of the Hotels on Paradise(LVH or HR) the #108 Paradise bus picks up at McCarran airport. If you travel light(carry-on luggage only). You can get from the airport to your hotel for $1.25 and get there much quicker than waiting in the long taxi lines.

Close hotel close to LVCC and on the Monorail route would be the Hilton. Some of the rooms are average and others are VERY nice.
