Any guidance is appreciated if anyone has any first hand experience with this drive so I can plan our vacation accordingly.
Thanks in advance.

I have driven that stretch of road about 10 times each way and it will take a good 5 hours from Las Vegas to get to the LA area and then you need to add the time that it takes to actually get to Anaheim where Disneyland is located.
The trip from Las Vegas to LA is pretty quick on I-15. You will be slowed by a couple of mountain passes that take you up from sea level to about 4K feet. Then when you get to LA the traffic will slow you down. So plan on a five to six hour drive window. I suggest leaving Vegas about 5 to 6:00 AM and also it would be worth it to find a cheap motel somewhere in between to spend the night before heading back to Vegas. It’s a long drive to do both ways in a day and then walk all over Disneyland. What you may want to do, and I have done this, is fly to Vegas a couple days early and try to get there like by noon, then get a rental car and do Disneyland first (use 2 days of your holiday) stay overnight, then drive back to Vegas and check into a Vegas hotel.

It’s a bout 275 miles. If all goes well you’ll get there in 4.5 hours if you stay within the speed limit. If things go not so well it could be 5.5 hours. I’ve driven it and 5 hours does in fact seem to be a pretty accurate estimate on average.

The drive is more like SIX hour depending on the time and day. But are you going there and then spend the night or think you are driving back the same day (not).

There is no definitive answer to this question. I’ve driven from Las Vegas to Disneyland several times.. It’s taken me between 4.0 hours when everything went well to almost 6 hours when there’s been trouble.
The day of the week and time of day you’re driving through LA will make a huge difference on how long it’ll take. Going to LA on a Sunday on a holiday weekend has taken me 10 hours. Going mid-week I could get to the same location in 3.5 hours.
Make sure it’s not a holiday weekend and try not to be driving back to LA when all the Los Angelans are going back home.
