Is Obama GAMBLING that the Iraq and Afghanistan CONFLICTS will SUBSIDE?
Susiepolls2008 asked:
In order for Obama’s plans to work hinges on a great reduction of military spending and the scaling down of costs for both conflicts and no other future conflict and with leaving our nation in a militarily weak position due to lack of funding.
Seems alot like he’s gambling w/ at a very high risk game with America’s future to me.

I guess. Bush gambled that he could get in and out quickly. He gambled the UN inspectors were wrong and he’d find WMD in Iraq. Who’s the bigger gambler?

No there’s no gamble. He’s scaling back troops in Iraq, he’s already started to do that. He’s not leaving our nation in a weak military position, considering it’s still the most well funded military in the world, and among the largest and most high tech.

Whether the conflict in Iraq subsides or not, the people and their government want us out.
And we need to honor that request.
And no, Obama doesn’t think the war in Afghanistan will subside. Listen to the news. He just sent an additional 17,000 troops there.
Bush gambled away over 3,000 plus lives in Iraq. Where were you then?

Pulling out of Iraq will cut cost not weaken our Military.staying in Wars with no Goals leaves us in a never ending Money pit.Vietnam should have Taught us this.the only Gamble he would be taking is not Defining Goals for Afghanistan Russia all ready Learned this lesson

Actually he knows that it won’t; but, we cannot continue to bleed like this. We have to put our own house in order and improve our economy, education, health care. These things are more important to our security than a bunch of morons in a bunch of backwards countries, unless we allow ourselves to become as backwards as they are.
