sincity usa asked: I was playing in a tournement this week and i want to get your take on the what took place. It was the first hand and i was dealt two queens and i made a raise, and two other players called my bet. The action got to the next player who right away pointed to the floor where there was a jack and a king on the ground. Right away the dealer called over the floor and he had the dealer count down the stub, he found out that the deck was short and the floor said it was a misdeal. I tryed to explain that since there was action on the hand it coulden’t be a misdeal and that the two cards should be show and the hand be played out, but he would not change his mind. Now i deal poker for a living and i think i was right in asking the hand to be played out, but was he right in any way to call it a fouled hand.

CuriousGeorge asked: I am highly interested in playing poker and I want to go to the Turning Stone in Upstate NY. If somebody went there, can you please tell me the format of the poker that is played there? Is there a tournament, and what is the buy-in. Or is it just tables?
Thank you so much!

Jon B asked: I’ve heard that some sites are rigged in certain situations
(one being that they will have large hands hit eachother at the same time so that people will go out quicker). I didn’t believe it at first but I’ve been noticing it happening more than it should if it was random.
Anyways, paranoya aside, what seems to be a good site to play poker on?
Thanks!

random/\me asked: I play online ( fake and real money). I just started playing real money online 2 days ago.
I am playing the penny tables and i played a s&go tourney the other day.
I placed 8th in the tourney (out of 18).
I really want to become a better player. Any tips? Any books to read? Any general recommendations for a beginning poker player?
Thanks everyone for the feedback, i am sure it will help me out.
Christine

Kastle asked: On shows like Poker After Dark, the table has a compartment that looks like it can hold two decks of cards. What is that for or what does it do?

KR_7752 asked: I feel like I don’t even have to read a book because I’m that good of a poker player so with that being said, can you recommend me with a great book that would provide me with valuable insights or new information that I may not know of.
I mostly play online no limit texas holdem poker. Usually at the sit-n-go tables and big tournaments.
