If you’re looking for ones that won’t melt if there’s a fire, then you’re out of luck. All poker chips are made out of plastic.

I LOVE Texas Hold’em…I’m planning on buying these babies, they come in the “Shiny Clay Pocket Aces Chip Set”..they are so nice, and very classy!!!
See for yourself:
EDITED: Btw….Clay chips are the “Cadillac” of poker chips. There is just no substitute for the feel, the sound and the look of clay poker chips!

Paulson is the brand you want. That is what most casinos use nowadays. They are awesome. They are expensive. I own exactly 12 of them to shuffle when playing online.
Goodluck.

You’ll need Clay Chips that are at least 13 grams in weight.
Casinos get most of their chips from a company called GPI (Gaming Partners International). They used to be called Paulson so you might see some people calling them “Paulson Chips”.
I know of a good place here in Downtown Las Vegas here’s their web site:
Hope that helps

First off…who said anything about a fire? Secondly, the poker chips that the casinos use are made of clay.
I second the guy that suggested the gambler’s general store

GPI (or Paulson) are the chips that most casinos use
and Ginger, I hope you don’t think that poker set is actually a set of clay chips. Break one open and you will find a metal insert. I’ve never seen a set of 500 clay chips for $109.

Billy in las vegas is right on here, i also live here in Vegas and the gamblers general store has everything you could want as far as chips. I own a very nice chip set, i got them for 86 cents a chip, they are 13 grams and are made of compositie. Most chips are either clay or composite these days. You can go on-line and see for yourself on what they have for sale. good luck.
