Can a person ever get over a gambling addtiction?

Yes, He can be addicted to gambling, your fiance will loose his money (salary), he might loan his personal things and the best thing to do is seat with Him and talk about it, try to resolve the problem and find an alternative to his addiction and speak to a counsellor if necessary.

yes .. easy to do when they have lost everything. But the only way to get over it before your broke is to really see you have a problem and want help .

You need to have some kind of a diversion. This diversion may be addictive but it does not involve money. It should be gradual. Maybe take him to a short vacation (duration:one week). While on vacation, give him a gift such as xbox, psp, or wii. Introduce him to some good games that may lead his attention to it. This may need a little investment but at least he may overcome the gambling problem.

sorry to hear that, some people find it hard to let go even after rehab, yes it gets that bad. and they do it till old age. some who have more self control get over the addiction. but it takes constant reminding, counselling and encouragement
